When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep }} riku&mina
[It's a rather chilly night, making Riku even question why he's out at a time like this. The night does make it a lot easier to move around undetected. Few humans are out romping around or shopping or working or whatever they really do at this hour. The legends of all the fae that gnaw on their bones or steal their souls are probably to blame. Legends that the changeling is a little grateful for, even if it gets him a few questionable looks from the few that are out in the streets.
Whatever. Let them look. It's not as if his form is any different from them right now. Of course, he can change his appearance however he pleases, but some forms are just more comfortable than others. Besides, if anything tries to think of Riku as prey, they'd be in for a nasty shock. Not many fae enjoy the sight of a changeling or the surprise of finding one. Funny how the tricksters never like to be tricked in those ways.
But tonight isn't about tricking fae or playing human (something he has never felt good at if he is to be honest). There's at least one fae that he's managed to not scare off or one that's ostracized him. Dare he even call her a friend? That might be pushing it a little, but Riku wouldn't exactly know any other word for it. Associate is too formal and she acts like they're more than acquintances. It's infuriating and confusing to him as to what their relationship is exactly.
Which is why he sighs as he lowers his hood and knocks on the door of her little abode.]
Hey? You there?
