Sora can feel flickers in Riku's energy, the moods he gets when he's feeling Kairi's magic. It's usually not a good idea for two monsters to bond because of the feedback but to Sora it's only made things so much stronger.
That's why he's so greedy about getting kisses and touches from Riku. To feel that flourish in their bond intensify when Riku purrs and reacts to him. It makes his heart sing in a lot of different ways. It makes Sora's ears twitch and his smile fond when he nuzzles Riku gently with his nose.]
